Just because you’re redesigning your pad doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your man cave aesthetic, and this Polish family home is the perfect example of that.
Located in the southern city of Krakow, the 169 sq m flat was actually an old fort built for defence in the 18th century. The team at Yodezeen rebuilt the estate from scratch, mixing modern architecture with a touch of tradition making for some pretty spectacular results.
Natural materials like oak, concrete, natural stone, marble and glass appear throughout the stylish home, as well as quirky monochrome artworks, interesting textures, minimalist details and plenty of masculine colours like grey, black, white and neutrals.
This dark colour palette, however, avoids a lack of natural light thanks to panoramic windows on all 4 walls.
